After passing the bar in 2011, Rebecca worked as a contract attorney for a general practioner in High Point, NC focusing on family law, social security and disability, criminal law, as well as wills and estates. For the next decade, her career continued at Molly N. Howard Law Office, P.C. in High Point, North Carolina. In November 2023, Rebecca joined Morrow Porter Vermitsky & Taylor, PLLC. Here she focuses on family law, as well as civil superior court and appellate law cases.
Rebecca is currently a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and is President of the High Point Bar Association.
Rebecca graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2004 with a double major in Sociology and Political Science and a minor in German. During her undergraduate time at UNCG, she was President & Treasurer of the UNCG Legal Professions Association, Vice President of the UNCG chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and Secretary and President of the UNCG Fencing Club. After graduating, Rebecca worked as a legal assistant with the US Department of Justice, Environmental Crime division. She attended the New England School of Law in Boston, where she was on the Dean’s List in Spring 2007, Spring 2008, Fall 2008, Spring 2009, Fall 2009, and Spring 2010, and was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Business Organizations in the fall of 2009. She also served as the President of the evening division of the student body. While in law school, she worked full-time as a paralegal, then as a student attorney, at the District Attorney’s office in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
